Hawks Fall, McNeil Breaks Kill Record


Syracuse, N.Y. (October 27) -- The volleyball team fell to Le Moyne, 3-0 (30-15, 30-27, 30-12), on Saturday afternoon at Le Moyne's Ted Grant Court. In the second game of the match, Alana McNeil (Lawrence, Mass.) notched her 1,088th kill, breaking Saint Anselm's all-time kill record. McNeil finished the match with 10 kills.

Le Moyne jumped out to an early 7-2 lead in the match's first game and cruised to a 30-15 final. The second game started out in favor of the Dolphins, but the Hawks erased an eight point deficit to tie the game at 24. Le Moyne picked up the last six out of nine points to take the win, 30-27. Le Moyne dominated the match's final game, picking up a 30-12 win.

The Hawks finish out their season on Tuesday, hosting UMass Lowell at 7:00 p.m. at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.
