Cape Cod, Mass. (January 8) -- Saint Anselm senior goaltender, Andrea Berlin (Durham, N.H.), was named the ECAC East Goaltender of the Week for her efforts in two games for the Hawks in the week ending January 6th.
Berlin notched her third shutout of the season Friday evening, turning away 20 shots to earn the victory. The next day, Berlin made nine saves in the win over Williams, 5-0, before teammate Carley Berry (Danvers, Mass.) came in late in the game to earn the combined shutout for the Hawks. Berlin leads NCAA Division II/III women's hockey in goals against average, posting a miniscule 0.51 goals against average in six games played.
The women's hockey team returns to the ice Wednesday, January 9th, hosting UMass Boston at 7 p.m. at Sullivan Arena.
