Cape Cod, Mass. (March 7) -- Commissioner of the ECAC, Rudy Keeling, announced today the ECAC Women's East Coach of the Year for the 2007-08 season. Fifth-year Head coach David Flint of Saint Anselm received the award.
During the 2007-08 season, Flint's team posted its fourth-straight 20-win season, finishing with a 23-2-1 mark overall. Flint guided the Hawks to their second consecutive ECAC East Regular Season title with a 17-1-1 league mark. The Hawks capped off the season with a 7-2 win over Sacred Heart to claim the ECAC Open Championship, also for the second consecutive season. Flint has now been named ECAC East Coach of the Year three seasons in a row.
In addition, Flint's team captured both the ECAC East Player of the Year and Goalie of the Year awards. This year's team finished third in the nation in scoring offense and second in the nation in team scoring defense. Over the last four seasons, Flint's teams have compiled a record of 88-15-2.
