Easton, Mass. (March 14) -- Saint Anselm freshman catcher, Matt Sucharewicz (Peabody, Mass.), has been named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week for his play in the week ending March 9, 2008.

Sucharewicz went a combined 7-for-15 with two homeruns, including a grand slam against Eckerd and a solo shot against Assumption, finishing with seven RBIs.

The Hawks return to the field on Saturday, March 15th, taking on two different opponents. The Hawks take on non-conference opponent New Haven at Noon, then take on Merrimack in a Northeast-10 battle scheduled to begin after the conclusion of the first game.
