Hawks Fall to Nationally-Ranked Dowling


Medford, N.Y. (March 10) -- On Saturday afternoon, the Saint Anselm men's lacrosse team fell to nationally-ranked Dowling by a 15-7 final in a non-conference game on Long Island.

Dowling jumped out to a quick 9-2 lead and held a 13-5 advantage after three quarters before taking the 15-7 win. Kevin DeBenedetto (Reading, Mass.) finished with two goals and three ground balls for the Hawks, while Chris Murphy (Winchester, Mass.) posted one goal and one assists with two ground balls. Andrew Roy (Westford, Mass.) made 20 saves in net for the Hawks.

The Hawks drop to 2-2 overall with the loss and are back in action on Sunday, March 18th when the team travels to Emerson for a non-conference game beginning at Noon in Boston, Mass.
