Hawks Fall to No. 5 Le Moyne


Solvay, N.Y. (April 7) -- The Saint Anselm men's lacrosse team fell by an 8-0 final at No. 5 Le Moyne in Northeast-10 Conference action.

Le Moyne jumped out to a 5-0 halftime lead and added a pair of goals in the third quarter before capping off the scoring in the fourth with 2:26 left on a man-up goal.

Senior Andrew Roy (Westford, Mass.) played a majority of the game in net, giving up seven goals while making 12 saves. Freshman Stephen Boy (Newburyport, Mass.) played the last 3:12 of the contest, giving up one goal.

Matt Cassalia led Le Moyne with a hat trick as five different players found the back of the net for the Dolphins.

With the loss, the Hawks fall to 2-6 overall and 0-4 in the Northeast-10, while Le Moyne improves to 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the Northeast-10. Saint Anselm is back  in action on Wednesday, April 11th when the Hawks travel to Merrimack for an NE-10 game beginning at 7 p.m. That game was originally scheduled to take place in Manchester, N.H., but has been moved due to unplayable field conditions at Grappone Stadium.
