Fall 1998 Construction:
The field completed, the stadium construction begins!

As September's green tinged an October orange,
the Hawks new football stadium construction began in earnest.
Construction crews began with the placement of footings for the steel grandstand.

Concrete footings, standing three feet above ground, were drilled more than ten feet underground.

The underbelly of the grandstand begins to take an outline as the exterior walls rise up.
