Saint Anselm Win Streak Snapped
Hawks Lose 2-0 Lead, Fall 3-2
PLEASANTVILLE, NY- Pace University came back from an 0-2 deficit
to defeated Saint Anselm by a 3-2 score (22-30, 25-30, 30-23, 30-27,
15-8) in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup today at the Goldstein
Fitness Center.
Pace improved to 15-14 overall and 8-2 in the NE-10 while Saint
Anselm dropped to 9-17 overall and 4-8 in the NE-10. The loss was
the first in six matches for the Hawks, who had come from behind
to win a 3-2 match yesterday against Saint Rose.
Maja Iljic (Yugoslavia) had a season-high 32 kills and 10 aces
while Quiana Cipriani (St. Croix, USVI racked up a career-high 50
assists. Denise Lamond (Denison, TX) added 14 digs for the Setters.
The Hawks were led by Marissa Caron (Raymond, NH) who had
16 kills and six digs. Aimee Young (W. Springfield, MA) had
12 kills and Karen Lyons (Pocassett, MA) added 11 digs.

NY.
