Hawks Swept By Merrimack, 3-0

N. Andover, MA — On Merrimack’s senior night, it was senior Diane Dynon (Kingstown, RI) leading the way with a game-high 12 kills and 14 digs as the Warriors defeated Saint Anselm three games to zero. The Warriors won with game scores of 30-19, 30-24, and 30-20 in the Northeast-10 Conference match. Senior Erika Martin (Friendswood, TX) led the game with 46 assists, and freshman Lindsey Anstandig (Newport Beach, CA) was second on the team with 11 digs.

The game marked the final regular season home game for Merrimack seniors Katie Spellissy (Dracut, MA), Michelle Sutherland (Dracut, MA), Martin and Dynon. The Warrior senior class includes the school’s all-time leaders in kills (Dynon), assists (Martin) and the second leading blocker in Merrimack history (Sutherland).

In the final game, the Hawks jumped out to early lead at 5-2 and 9-7, but Merrimack finished off the match by wining 30-20. The Hawks were led by Karen Lyons (Pocassett, MA) with 10 digs, and Marissa Carson (Oyster River, NH) with six kills. The Warriors improve to 9-14 overall and are 6-4 in NE-10 play, while the Hawks drop to 9-18 overall and 4-9 in conference action. The Warriors next travel to Bentley to take on the Falcons on November 5th at 7:30 PM and finish the regular season at Le Moyne on November 9th.
