Saint Anselm Wins Both Matches Saturday, Finishes 2-2 In Tourney

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The Bryant College women's volleyball team fell 3-2 to Armstrong Atlantic State in the final game of the 2002 Bryant Invitational, but picked up three wins over the course of the tournament, held Friday and Saturday at the Bryant Athletics & Recreation Center.

Saint Anselm posted a 2-2 record at the tournament with a pair of wins on Saturday to bring its overall record to 2-4 this season. The Hawks dropped a 3-0 match to Bentley and a 3-1 decision to East Stroudsburg on Friday to drop to 0-4. But the team bounced back with a hard-fought 3-2 win against New York Tech and a 3-1 win against Southampton Saturday to finish at .500 for the tournament.
