Head Coach: Donald Ferguson

Don Ferguson

Manchester, N.H. (July 8, 2002) - Donald Ferguson has been named head volleyball coach at Saint Anselm College in an announcement by the Athletic Department Monday.

Ferguson becomes the program's ninth head coach and replaces Chris Dupuis, who led the team to a 32-30 record over the past two seasons. Last season, the team finished with an overall record of 13-16 after posting a 19-14 mark and a trip to the ECAC Division II Tournament in 2000.

Ferguson joins the College after two seasons as assistant coach of the nationally ranked Rivier College men's program. Ferguson's teams won back to back NECVA New England Division titles and were ranked as high as 11th in Division III in 2001.

Ferguson had also been head coach of the Bishop Guertin volleyball team for four years and was named the New Hampshire Class "L" Coach of the Year in 2001.

Prior to completing his degree from Rivier in 2000, Ferguson competed for the Raiders from 1994-96 and again from 1999-2000. He was the team's captain from 1994-96 and led the squad in every statistical category while also being ranked nationally in hitting percentage and kills per game.

Currently engaged to be married, Ferguson lives in Merrimack, N.H. and works as the lead teacher at Nashua's Alternative Suspension Center.

Located in Manchester, N.H., Saint Anselm is an NCAA Division II institution and competes in the Northeast-10 Conference.
