
HOWELL POWERS HAWKS PAST NHC, 3-0
MANCHESTER, NH (Oct. 19) -- The Saint Anselm College womens volleyball team snapped a three game losing streak with a 3-0 victory over cross-town rival and future NE-10 conference foe New Hampshire College at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium tonight.
The Hawks, who improved to 11-13 overall, sent New Hampshire College to their second straight defeat in falling to 4-7 overall. The Hawks posted 15-6, 15-6, 15-4 victories.
Kristine Howell (Greenville, NH) powered the Hawks with a match high 12 kills, while Ada Colon (Lawrence, MA) added eight kills. Andrea Sadowski (Greenville, NH) and Erica Johnson (Orange, MA) chipped in with six kills each.
Jen Burns added 20 assists for the Hawks, while Sadowski notched 16 digs.
The Penwomen were led by Jodi Stimson (Milford, NH) who notched nine kills, while Kristina Kintzer added six.
Jen Basiliere (Haverhill, MA) had 20 assists for New Hampshire College.
Saint Anselm is off until Saturday when they host Le Moyne and Middlebury in a tri-match beginning at 11:00 A.M. New Hampshire College travels to Colby-Sawyer Thursday for a 7:00 P.M. game
