The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization and is dedicated to the four ideals of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. The activities of the Knights are divided into five service areas: church, family, youth, community, and council. The Saint Anselm College Council of the Knights of Columbus is one of more than 110 college councils in the U.S. and Canada. It presently has over 80 student members and in recent years has won national recognition for its leadership, organization, and programs. Programs involving the youth, needy, and elderly in the Manchester area, and programs benefiting the campus community and the council members themselves are the types of activities in which our campus Knights are engaged. Members may benefit from the council and state scholarship and loan programs, from the Knights of Columbus Insurance Program, and from employment opportunities offered to Knights of Columbus members upon graduation. In short, membership in our College organization provides the student with ample opportunities to exercise positions of leadership and responsibility, and most importantly, to serve others in charity.
