Through the Meelia Center for Community Services, Saint Anselm College mobilizes student talent and energy to assist 14 community partnerships and more than 30 other community service agencies throughout Greater Manchester.
Annually some 850 students, faculty, and staff volunteer more than 16,000 community service hours.
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Meelia Center for Community Service to cultivate and maintain a relationship of engagement between Saint Anselm College and the larger community. Led largely by students, the engagement will be sensitive and responsive to community needs, and contribute to the education of Saint Anselm students as they strive to lead creative, generous, and civically engaged lives.

Colleges with a Conscience
Saint Anselm College was selected by Princeton Review to be included a recently published book entitled "Colleges with a Conscience: 81 Great Schools with Outstanding Community Involvement." New Mentoring Program Matches Students with Frail Elderly
The Meelia Center has maintained a partnership with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Greater Manchester for many years. Through the collaboration Saint Anselm students mentor children at a local school, day care center and at a secure facility for delinquent youth. Beginning in the 2006-2007 academic year a new mentoring collaboration was formed with Southern NH Services targeting frail elderly.
