ILAM is the new rising afro-pop voice to discoverMélanie Pinto, Huffington Post Quebec

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Wesli is a natural troubadour and committed artist whose groove machine fuses afro-beat, reggae and Haitian Rara into an energetic and powerful performance. The multi-instrumentalist and producer-songwriter delivers a rich, festive and uniquely engaging sound. On stage with his big band, Wesli conquers the heart of his audience through a mosaic of musical arrangements and universal messages of hope, truth and peace. Joining Wesli is Senegalese artist, ILAM who delivers a style that is filled to the brim with different musical spices. Combining a rhythmic blend of reggae and blues with inclinations of Afro-folk and crossbreeding accents of pop or rock, ILAM’s voice evokes the depth and power of nomadic people in a mesmerizing and urban atmosphere. Both award-winning artists are now based in Montreal and are bringing their rare sound and soul to the Dana Center stage in a performance that you won’t want to miss!
