Timber by Cirque Alfonse

Canadian Circus Arts with a Lumberjack Theme!
In the Quebecois Art Circus tradition of Cirque de Soleil

Daring axe juggling acts and acrobatic feats above the open blade of huge two- man saws. Simply jaw-dropping!Le Devoir (Montréal)
This stunning show is definitely worth the trip!Canoe.ca (Montréal)

Canadian circus art, a brilliant traditional Acadian soundtrack, and a Northwoods lumberjack theme combine to make Cirque Alphonse's latest adventure an eye-popping, breathcatching, knee-jumping tribute to the lives, music, and livelihood of North America's first loggers, farmers, and lumberjacks. The brilliant young company of Cirque Alphonse, deeply steeped in the great circus traditions of 'Ecole Nationale de Cirque de Montreal, Cirque de Soleil, and other great European-based circus companies, bring an altogether fresh and completely unexpected spin to the ancient art of circus performance as they juggle axes and saws, perform aerial acrobatics using local forestry products, and find enormously inventive and hilarious uses for prosaic rural equipment. You'll never look at history - or timber - the same way again!
