For the Systemic circuit in the thorax, students only need to know Cranial and caudal vena cava, right and left atria and ventricles, coronary vein and artery, aorta arch and dorsal aorta.

The quiz will be based on Figs 1 (p147), 2 (p148), 2A (p172) and 3A (p176).

Activities 2 (thoracic) (1:50 total)

introduction: circulation in mammals; excretory and reproductive systems (10 min; p 145; 167-1688 excretory only)

neck and pericardial region dissection; identify parts of fetal heart, lungs and major vessesl (30 min) (Exercise 1; p 146-150; Exercise 6: 159-161)

omit Exercise 3-5, Vert Anat II

dissect excretory system (20 min) (Exercise 1: 168-170)

dissect reproductive system (30 min Exercise 2: 171-178)

omit Lab study C: Pregnant pig uterus

Omit Exercise 3 Nervous system

ALL STUDENTS MUST SEE MALE AND FEMALE PIGS
