~ This is the current taxonomic hierarchy to Family for the Annelida as outlined in Brusca & Brusca (pgs. 382-388), and presented in your lab manual. You are responsible for knowing only those taxonomic ranks that are highlighted,and the specimens presented in laboratory representative of each of those ranks. ~ The polychaetes are not given in their entirety. Rather this is a subset to familiarize you with the diversity in the group. The class is divided into 25 orders and 87 families.
