Recycling and Solid Waste in the

Town of Goffstown

The town of Goffstown has one of the finest and comprehensive recycling programs in the state of New Hampshire. The town provides eligible residents curbside pickup of recyclables by Waste Management Inc. If you are participating in the curbside program the recyclables may be comingled in the blue recycling bins supplied by the division of Public Works (603-497-3617). If you are planning to bring the recyclables to the Goffstown Transfer Station (603-497-4824) then you must separate the recyclables into the appropriate categories. Below is a list of items that can be recycled in Goffstown. For more information contact the Department of Public Works or the Goffstown Transfer Station.

• Glass

• Aluminum Cans - rinsed and clean

• Steel and Tin Cans - rinsed and clean

• Plastics - Number 1 and Number 2, rinsed and clean

• Milk and Juice Cartons

• Corrugated Cardboard - three layered with ridges in the center layer

• Paper - all types (except food spoiled paper, blueprint and carbon paper) in brown paper bag

Drop Off Program

Some items can not be thrown away with the regular solid waste or comingled with recylables. These must be brought to the Transfer Station to its Drop Off Program. See the list below. For more information contact the Department of Public Works or the Goffstown Transfer Station.
