PURPOSE:
The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the Roman poets Horace and Catullus and the scholarship which surrounds them. In it you will continue to develop your skill at reading Latin literature with accuracy, speed and pleasure. Through these texts you will also be introduced to the Roman society of the late Republic and Early Empire. |
