| According to Dio, the riots at Rome which force Augustus to recall Agrippa come two years after the death of Marcellus and have absolutely nothing to do with Marcellus or Livia. They are over the election of consuls. In Graves, who does have the crowd pelt Livia "with rotten eggs and filth", the mob is clamouring for a restoration of the Republic.
So, there really isn't any ancient evidence for this scene, but it is really funny. Enjoy!
