Prosecution plots

Once again, Pulman stages a dinner party serving up plot explication. It's nowhere in the sources- not even in Graves. Pulman has granny Antonia depart with Li'l Boots after which Claudius, Castor, Herod Agrippa, Agrippina and some Roman guy (we're guessing Vitellius) discuss prosecution strategy. Graves, closely following Tacitus, says that the prosecution and its Senate strategy was developed by three senators who were on Germanicus' staff in Syria, Fulcinius Trio, Veranius and Vitellius. Tacitus includes a fourth- Servaeus. Castor, who doesn't arrive home from the Danube until just before the trial- well after the Senate venue had been set, is not part of the prosecution team. Pulman's placement of Claudius and Herod at the heart of a prosecution strategy session is not supported by any of our sources. His focus on Martina- the star witness sent to Rome by Vitellius- is also problematic, since she is dead before Trio & company formally request charges be brought against Piso.
