David B. George

Over the years I have worked on a number of aspects of the ancient world.  I have written on Hebrew narrative in the Bible, Greek Tragedy, Roman Epic, and Ancient Philosophy.  For the last 15 years, I have been working on archaeological projects in Western Crete and central Italy.  Currently, I am co-director of a project that is excavating several sites just outside of Orvieto, Italy.  You can explore them at digumbria.com.
