Computer Science With Business
The Computer Science with
Business major program is intended for students interested
in applied computer science in a business environment. As a
result, Computer Science with Business students study topics in
economics and business so as to be equipped to apply computers
to business situations and orientations.
Major requirements for this
program are Computing I & II, Discrete Mathematics I & II, Data
Structures and Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Database
Management (CS270, and at least 3 other computer science courses
numbered 200 or above, with System and Software Development
(CS290) being strongly recommended. Also required are business
courses from the Economics Department, namely Statistics
(EC121), Financial Accounting (EC111), Cost Accounting (EC112)
or Marketing (EC231), and either Human Resource Management
(EC221) or Management Science (EC224).
