The Reference Desk is located on the main level of Geisel Library. Our primary goal is to help Saint Anselm College students, faculty, and staff with their research needs. We are also happy to assist guests, particularly those who are interested in using the Geisel Library collections to do research. Whether you are working on a paper or researching a personal interest, librarians can direct you to the best information resources. You can visit the Reference Desk during the hours of operation listed below, or reach one of the reference librarians below by phone or email.

Information Literacy

The Information Literacy program is designed to teach information-seeking skills to all Saint Anselm students, from freshmen to seniors. It promotes student proficiency in how to effectively find, evaluate, and use information, in accordance with clearly-articulated learning objectives. Information literacy instruction may take a variety of forms, including classroom sessions tailored to specific course projects, one-on-one research consultations, and guided hands-on seminars for students in capstone courses. For a detailed description of this program and its objectives, see Information Literacy Program.

See our Library Instruction page for information about the various forms of instruction available. To schedule a library instruction class, please contact your department's liaison librarian.

Interlibrary Loan

The Reference Department offers interlibrary loan services to the Saint Anselm College community. For a detailed description of these services, please see the Interlibrary Loan page.
