Located in the center of the Lower Level, the Periodicals Information Desk is where you can ask for assistance in locating magazines, journals, old newspapers, or microforms. They can also help you use the microform machines and printers. If you take magazines off the shelves or microforms out of the cabinets, please return them to the baskets on this desk (rather than reshelving them yourself) so that we know what materials are being used. The library's collection of over 1,600 music CDs is held in the drawers behind this desk; it ranges across all styles from classical to jazz to pop and rock. You can search for CDs in our catalog by title or artist/composer, or browse this alphabetized list of CDs by title. Be sure to write down the CD number in the catalog record, since the CDs are filed in order by those numbers.
