Aluka
This database provides primary source materials from and about Africa. This set of digital materials has over 280,000 objects in
21 collections, including plant specimens, photographs, art, reference works, and archival records of historical expeditions to Africa, and includes content areas focused on African plants and on freedom movements in southern Africa.

Oxford Music Online
This database provides searchable access to several major Oxford reference works in the field of music, including the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, and The Oxford Companion to Music. These online publications offer articles about composers, musicians, styles, instruments, and music-related concepts.

Readers' Guide Retrospective
This database enables you to search citations of popular magazine articles from 1890 through 1982. Over three million articles are indexed from approximately 375 magazines, which provide insight into the culture and history of 20th century America. This database is particularly useful for getting contemporaneous perspectives on historical events as they unfolded.

Reference Universe
This access tool enables keyword searching of Geisel Library's print and electronic reference collection, retrieving a list of reference titles that are relevant to the subject of interest. Results are sorted so that reference books in which the search terms appear more frequently in the Table of Contents or Indexes rise to the top. Use this tool to identify the best reference sources for background information on a topic.
