Saint Anselm College’s Abbey Players will perform Get a Clue for the annual Family Weekend Show, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20. Get a Clue is the story of two Saint Anselm freshmen who come into their own with the help of two upperclassmen, some quirky students and the occasional dance number.
The student-produced performance will kick off Family Weekend. This year’s show was written by Kaitlin Burroughs '08, of Middleton, Mass., and Monika Norcross '08, of Portsmouth, R.I. They are also the show’s director and producer, respectively.
The performance is dedicated to the memory of Father Daniel Dempski, O.S.B., a beloved monk and educator who, before he passed away in May 2007, left the Abbey Players his vast collection of hats and costumes.
Get a Clue uses songs from Broadway and popular music and a cast of more than 40 students to parody life at Saint Anselm. Raaid Cotman-El '08, of Providence, R.I., is in charge of choreography and Maureen Kenney '09, of Londonderry, N.H., is the music director.
Tickets can be purchased online from the Dana Center or by calling (603) 641-7700.
