The Anselmian Abbey Players will present the final weekend of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes April 11 and 12 at the Dana Center. The show is directed by Saint Anselm alumna Carey Cahoon,
class of 1998.
Anything Goes is musical comedy on a grand scale, wrapped around one of the most impressive and celebrated scores of the genre, including Cole Porter’s classic songs, “You’re the Top,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “All Through the Night,” and, of course, “Anything Goes.”
Romance and mistaken identities and mismatched lovers are all to be found on the S.S. American bound for England. Those captured in the on board mayhem include nightclub star Reno Sweeney, Moonface Martin and the bounder Billy Crocker, stowed away in hopes of winning over heiress Hope Harcourt.
The student-run Abbey Players will offer their final performances of Anything Goes Friday and Saturday nights, starting at 8 p.m. For ticket information contact the Dana Center at (603) 641-7700 or log on to www.anselm.edu/dana.
