Professor Elizabeth Ossoff, of the psychology department, has been appointed the director of research at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College. The Research Center at NHIOP includes programs in international affairs, American democracy, politics and civic life, and religion and public life.
Ossoff will serve as the principal liaison between the research centers coordinators and faculty members with affiliate relationships. She will also facilitate communication throughout the research centers, academic departments, students and the Saint Anselm College community.
Ossoff will also manage the research center, serve as a member of the colleges Institutional Research Board, an ex-officio member of the NHIOP Academic Advisory Board, and encourage student involvement in research center activities.
Ossoff will serve a three-year term as director of research, succeeding Professor Amy Schmidt of the economics and business department. She assumes her role following eight years as the research coordinator for the Jeanne D. Smith Center for American Democracy and Government at the NHIOP.
Ossoff earned her Ph.D. and masters in psychology from Tufts University and a bachelors in psychology from Colby College.
Professor Andrew Moore, of the history department, will oversee the Smith Center on an interim basis.
