Research interests: psychology of political behavior, from perspectives of voter and candidate; politics and the media; psychology of gender.
Other: research coordinator for The Jeanne D. Smith Center for the Study of American Democracy and Citizenship at the college's New Hampshire Institute of Politics. The center examines civic education and political life, public attitudes, political activities, and community dimensions.
Can discuss: the roles of race, gender, personality, emotion, and media in politics.

Main research interests: exploration of issues of race and gender in the post-Civil Rights era--how the civil rights movement gave way to political cooperation over issues of gender and sexuality; Jimmy Carter and other American presidents. Also, Roman Catholics in Alabama and Georgia, post-World War II. Recently published, The South's "Tolerable Alien": Roman Catholics in Alabama and Georgia, 1945-1970. Additionally, currently working on a biography of former President Jimmy Carter.
Can discuss: the role of religion, gender, and race in politics, the American South, and former American Presidents.

Main research interest: understanding and interpretation of the Bible in the 16th century, with a concentration upon the work of the Apostle Paul. Writing an introductory, accessible theological history of the Reformation Era.
Can discuss: Western Religions, American religious history, Reformation history and theology, early and medieval church history and theology, and major religious figures such as John Calvin, Augustine and Martin Luther.

Other: A forensic economist, he has consulted on hundreds of legal cases over the past 30 years, determining the economic value of someone who is killed or injured. Co-authored Economic Evaluation of a Deceased Wife in the 80's and 90's for the New Hampshire Trial Bar News. Also, offers personal finance workshops for graduating seniors.

Background and expertise: Worked for many years with the UN, serving in many capacities in New York and Geneva. Teaches international relations and comparative politics. She is often interviewed about international relations and how other countries view the United States.
