Research interests: changing New Hampshire demographics and the impact on politics; has studied the impact of migration on the New Hampshire Legislature; taking a historical look at the role of female legislators in the state.
Other: a former political strategist and advisor to a number of New Hampshire campaigns.

Can discuss: sociology and law; terrorism, genocide, Middle East politics, race and ethnic relations, deviance and Boston's "Big Dig."  Also can discuss the American legal system, including criminal law, bankruptcy, tort law, discrimination law, family law, and immigration law.
Other: former public defender for Suffolk County, Mass. Teaches course on the sociology of terrorism and genocide.
