Research interests: incarcerated women, mentoring of children of incarcerated parents and successful re-entry from prison into society. Studies the relationship among religious involvement, social capital and civic involvement, as well as acquaintance violence on campus. 
Other: on a sub-committee of the Governor's Commission on Domestic and Sexual Violence.
