Was it the class receptions in the brand new Thomas F. Sullivan Arena? Was it the Nursing Department's 50th anniversary celebration? Or was it people seeking to rekindle old friendships that brought nearly 800 alumni and their families back to campus this past June? Whatever it was, Reunion 2003 had a tremendous turnout. Alumni of all ages enjoyed visiting the campus to see familiar sights. Tours of campus, either by foot or by campus trolley, were popular as alums had the opportunity to view some of the new campus facilities, such as the New Hampshire Institute of Politics, the student townhouses, and the Sullivan Arena.
More than 136 Golden Anselmians and their guests returned to campus during Reunion Weekend, including a few alums who graduated as far back as 68 years ago (Class of 1935). Members of the Class of 1953 were welcomed into the Golden Anselmians, and the group welcomed its first woman, Alice "Fay" Cloutier of Tinton Falls, N.J. She joined 28 of her classmates for this golden opportunity to come back to campus after 50 years to visit her alma mater.
Congratulations to the classes of 1993 and 1998 for having the most alumni attend reunion. While a majority of alums came from Massachusetts (nearly half), many traveled from as far away as the west coast, Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
