Tom Russell '91 has been promoted to publisher of Random House Princeton Review Books. The former English major joined Random House in 1996 as publishing administrator of Princeton Review books, and was promoted to associate publisher in 1999.
In making the announcement, Random House Information Group President and Publisher Bonnie Ammer said: "Tom has played a major role in making Princeton Review Books the market leader in test-prep." While serving as associate publisher, Russell helped develop online components for several key books. He also expanded the imprint's state test-prep guide publishing program and directed the acquisition and marketing of many of the line's most successful titles. Over Russell's three years as associate publisher, the line has grown by nearly 50 percent.
Before joining Random House, Russell worked at Houghton Mifflin in its College Publishing Division. He currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y.
