The NHIOP is at the center of the the "first-in-the-nation" presidential primary, as campaigns, candidates, pundits, and the media descend upon the campus.  During the 2004 primary season, the college served as the broadcast headquarters for the Fox News Channel.  In addition, Saint Anselm hosted the final presidential debate before the New Hampshire primary.
