The NHIOP has maintained a robust series of Academic programs in the Fall of 2007, as detailed below.
Candidate Events: In conjunction with the NHIOP, several candidates came to speak to student groups or classes, including the following:

Gov. Mitt Romney
Sen. John Edwards
Other representatives of campaigns spoke to student groups or classes, notably Mitt Romney’s son, daughter-in-law and grandson at the New Hampshire Primary Class.
New Hampshire Primary Poll: The NHIOP and its Center for the Study of New Hampshire Politics commissioned a public opinion poll of the New Hampshire electorate in October. The results were released to the media and widely reported. Profs. Cammisa and Dupre along with Jennifer Donahue conducted a seminar/press conference to disseminate the results.
Poster Presentation Exhibition on the New Hampshire Primary: Students in the New Hampshire Primary classes prepared poster presentations on the New Hampshire primary in each election year since 1952. The Center sponsored an exhibition and opening reception for the presentations on December 6 at Davison Hall. The exhibition was attended by students, faculty and distinguished guests, including Secretary of State William Gardner. New England Cable News featured the exhibition in a news report on December 7. Several of the student groups also did their presentations for a video recorded at the Institute.
A Primary Education Week: The Center for the Study of New Hampshire Politics sponsored a series of events at the Institute during the week preceding the New Hampshire primary. Students from St. Olaf College, Quinnipiac College, Princeton University and Stonehill College, among others, participated in various events on campus. Faculty from some of these institutions used our facilities to conduct classes or meet with students. Other activities included the following:
Faculty Seminars discussed a range of primary-related topics, including results of the Iowa caucus, public opinion polls, the debates, and of course, the results of the New Hampshire Primary. Seminars were moderated by Jennifer Donahue. Faculty and guests who participated were the following:
