Consortium on Justice and Society

The Consortium on Justice and Society is a new research initiative within the NHIOP Research Center. The mission of the Consortium on Justice and Society is to conduct interdisciplinary basic and applied academic research on the relationships among justice, civic participation and social well-being. The Consortium provides a resource for governmental and private agencies concerned with developing strategies for achieving a safe and just society.

The goals of the consortium are as follows:

  • To foster interdisciplinary research on issues related to justice, civic participation, and social well-being
  • To prepare students for lives of active citizenship through academic instruction and research and field experiences in areas related to justice and society.
  • To develop and foster collaborative partnerships between Saint Anselm College and the wider community through the development of sponsored research projects with community and governmental agencies and collaborative research partnerships with other academic institutions
  • To create an on-line clearinghouse for documents related to the Consortium's research and education functions.

The Consortium is headed by Elaine Rizzo and Jack Humphrey of the Criminal Justice Department.
