6 - 8 p.m. - Registration (Dana Center)
Start here to pick up your registration packet, pre-ordered tickets, t-shirts, and Fun Run information. Also, view the weekend schedule that includes athletic events, a variety of tours and other events, take family photos and learn of dining options in the area if you wish to enjoy dinner off campus.

7 p.m. - Men's Club Rugby vs. Holy Cross (Grappone Stadium)
Come cheer on our men's club rugby team as they take on Holy Cross under the lights.

7:30 p.m. - Women's Volleyball vs. Adelphi (Stoutenburgh Gymnasium)
Come cheer on our women's volleyball team as they take on Adelphi University tonight.

8 p.m. - Abbey Players Present "Hawkward: The Musical" (Dana Center Theater)
The Anselmian Abbey Players proudly present this musical look at what life is like here at Saint Anselm College.  Featuring a student cast and creative team, Hawkward: The Musical showcases a year in the life of an Anselmian. Featuring renditions of popular songs, this student-directed show captures the excitement of freshmen year, the bittersweet nature of senior year, and everything in between. Don't miss out on the fun!

9 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Registration (Dana Center)

9 a.m. - Family Fun Run Registration (Dana Center)

10 a.m. - Family 5K Fun Run/Walk (Begins in Front of the Dana Center)
This fun run/walk through campus will award prizes to the top male and female runners in the following categories: Saint Anselm College student, parent, sibling (under 12), sibling (over 12), and faculty/staff. Register via order form, during Friday registration or Saturday morning in the Dana Center lobby. All participants must sign in between 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday morning to receive their runner's bib number. Registration fee is $10 and includes a Fun Run T-shirt.

11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Family Reception (Cushing North Lounge)
Hosted by Dr. Steven R. DiSalvo, President of Saint Anselm College
Family and friends attending Family Weekend are ­invited to enjoy light refreshments and meet ­college faculty and administrators, as well as student ­representatives from various clubs and ­athletic teams.

12:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Parent Council Meeting (Cushing North Lounge)
Please join us for the Fall Parents Council meeting to meet and network with other parents, learn more about staying involved in your child's experience and identifying ways that you can help support and spread the mission of Saint Anselm College.  We look forward to meeting you and growing the newly created Parents Council.

1 - 4:00 p.m. - Tours of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics and Political Library
Meet NHIOP Student Ambassadors who will introduce you to the programs, facilities and opportunities available at the institute.

1 p.m. - Director's Tour of the Chapel Art Center
Iain MacLellan, O.S.B., director of the Chapel Art Center, will lead a walking tour for an intimate look at Reflections of the Day: Pastels, Drawings and Color Woodcuts by Sandy Wadlington.  The tour includes a commentary on the Chapel Art Center's 19th century landscape Fisherman by a River by Alvan Fisher, as part of the coinciding exhibition Influence and Significance, Selections from the Permanent Collection.

1 p.m. - Women's Volleyball vs. Pace (Stoutenburgh Gymnasium)
Come cheer on our women's volleyball team as they take on Pace University this afternoon.

1:30 - 3:00 p.m. - Open Skate (Sullivan Arena)
Bring your skates and hit the ice with friends and family in Sullivan Arena. Please note that rentals are not available.

1:30 - 4:00 p.m. - Archaeology Dig (Meet in Dana Center at Registration Table)
Embark on an archaeological dig on campus in the Ozone!  Equipment will be provided, but wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.  For more information, email classicssociety@anselm.edu

2 p.m. - Men's Soccer vs. Saint Rose (Grappone Stadium)
Watch our men's soccer team face off against the College of Saint Rose this afternoon.

4 p.m. - Women's Basketball vs. St. Joseph's College (Stoutenburgh Gymnasium)
Come show your support for our women's basketball team in a scrimmage against St. Joseph's.

4:30 p.m. - Mass (Abbey Church)
All are welcome to join Saint Anselm College families from near and far in the Abbey Church for the celebration of the Eucharist.

6 p.m. - Men's Club Ice Hockey vs. Castleton State College (Sullivan Arena)
Come cheer on our men's club ice hockey team as they face off against Castleton State College.

8:30 p.m. - Ridgeway & Johnson: Illusions & Escapes (Dana Center Theatre) SOLD OUT!
An Evening of Illusions & Escapes starring Kevin Ridgeway & Kristen Johnson (seen on ABC, CBS, CNN, ESPN, FOX, & NBC), is a live theatrical spectacle not to be missed. First made famous by Harry Houdini, the show includes the World's Only Full View Water Torture Cell Escape performed by Kristen Johnson, a/k/a Lady Houdini, the World's Premier Female Escape Artist.

From breathtaking Illusions to death defying escapes, the drama is mixed with the comedy and inspirational stories by Master Illusionist Kevin Ridgeway. Wrapped in intelligent lighting, incredible music and spectacular multimedia the show comes together creating a feast for the senses. Don't miss this one - it is sure to please all audience members from the very young and up!

10 p.m. - Saint Anselm College Trivia Night (Coffee Shop)
How much do you know about Saint Anselm College? Test your knowledge and join the fun at the Campus Activities Board's Trivia Night! CAB, a student run organization, regularly programs fun events like this for your son or daughter. Join them to find out what it's like to be a student on campus!

9:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Sunday Brunch (Davison Hall)
Brunch does require the purchase of a ticket (including current students). Brunch tickets may be purchased in advance or in the Davison Hall lobby when you arrive Sunday morning. Students may purchase only one brunch ticket with their meal plan in the Davison Office.

10 a.m. - Men's Cross Country NE-10 Championship
Come cheer on our men's cross country team.

10:30 a.m. - Pre-Mass Concert (Abbey Church)
A pre-Mass concert by the Saint Anselm College Choir will be offered for attendees. Please arrive early for good seating.

11 a.m. - Mass (Abbey Church)
All are welcome to join the monastic community in our celebration of the Eucharist after the concert. Mass will start promptly at 11 a.m.

11 a.m. - Women's Cross Country NE-10 Championship
Come cheer on our women's cross country team.

General Family Weekend Information


Enjoy caramel apples and large soft pretzels - choose a pumpkin or squash (decorative and edible)

Bookstore is open during Family Weekend (pick-up a coupon at registration or at the bookstore):

  • Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Geisel Library's Annual Book Sale - Don't miss it! The sale runs throughout Family Weekend and offers a wide selection of books (e.g., cookbooks, art books, foreign language books).
