The first time you edit in the CMS you will be asked to install the Web editor client.

To install the editor you must have administrative priviledges to install software on your computer. If you do not have administrative priviledges, please contact the Help Desk at extension 4357 (x HELP) and they will install it for you.

If you have questions or are experiencing any difficulty installing the Ektron eWebEditPro Web editor client, please contact Doug Minor at (603) 656-6184 for assistance.

  1. Log in to the content management system.
  2. In the CMS Admin Console, click on Edit.
  3. Click on the pen and paper icon. This will prompt the CMS to open the Web editor client.
  4. A new window will open prompting you to install the Ektron eWebEditPro client on your computer. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on install now.
  5. While downloading if a light yellow bar appears across the bottom of the tool bar, click on the yellow bar and choose install Active X.
  6. The program downloads and installs. It will automatically switch to the editor when the download is complete.

*Troubleshooting
You must turn off any browser pop-up blockers. Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7 each come with a pop-up blocker. You can turn it off under Tools > Turn off pop-up blocker.

If you've installed any search toolbars on your computer (Google, Yahoo, etc.), you'll need to make sure any associated pop-up blockers are turned off as well or the Ektron eWebEditPro client may not download.
