Retreats
Retreat opportunities are available for students at various times during the year. Students are encouraged to pause from their busy schedules and to spend time drawing closer to God and others in their lives.
Retreats are student-led and include talks, small group discussions, times for reflection, prayer, time to relax with others, have fun, and grow in their faith.
Our retreats are held at retreat centers throughout New England.
Subiaco: Becoming Your Best Self, a retreat for all Saint Anselm students, is about figuring out who you are and who you want to become. As a young man St. Benedict grew tired of a busy life in Rome and decided to dedicate the rest of his life seeking a closer connection with God. While living in a cave in Subiaco, he matured both in mind and character, in knowledge of himself and of his fellow-man. There he also began to discern which thoughts, feelings, and desires were leading him towards greater love of God, and which were distractions to his spiritual growth.
With varying themes each year, this is an off-campus retreat for all Saint Anselm College students. This retreat is a chance for students to take a time away from their busy college lives to engage in discussions, small groups, prayer, and fellowship.
A chance for Saint Anselm College seniors spend time with each other on retreat before their impending graduation. This is a time for seniors to reflect on their time on the hilltop and discuss about how they can live out their faith life after graduation.
Encounter is a 3-4 hour, on campus retreat experience, providing opportunities for students to take a break from the business of college life. Each Encounter Retreat focuses on a different topic, which allows students to contemplate and reflect on their relationship with God.
24 hour retreat geared toward women who want to live out their faith with intention. The retreat model will be centered around the women of the Gospels, specifically the passion narrative during Holy Week. Retreat directed by the female Campus Ministry staff.

This retreat is geared for the busy person who desires to deepen their faith life but doesn't have the time to commit to a weekend away. This self-guided prayer model provides an opportunity to read, reflect, and be more intentional in their daily lives. The retreat will be 10 days, with each day focusing on a different Benedictine Hallmark. It's a great retreat for those learning to know more about the Benedictine tradition or be more mindful during Lent in preparation for Easter.

Campus RENEW
Campus RENEW offers students the opportunity to join small faith-sharing groups led by the Campus Ministers. Groups meet for about an hour on a weekly basis for Scripture reflection, discussion, prayer, or applying lessons learned to everyday life. Groups meet almost every night of the week, so there should definitely be a group that fits your schedule! All students are welcome to join in. Enjoy a quiet time of reflection, sharing, and prayer amid your busy schedule!
To learn more or register for a Renew Group email campusministry@anselm.edu or come by the Campus Ministry Office in the Roger and Francine Jean Student Center.
