It is for many reasons, including these, that College administration has made the extremely difficult decision to suspend all study abroad programming for the 2020-2021 academic year. There will be no provider, faculty-led or Orvieto programs sponsored or approved by the College for fall 2020 or spring 2021. We are hopeful that global dynamics of the pandemic begin to ease over the course of the academic year. With that hope in mind, we will continue to plan for faculty-led programs to run in May and summer 2021. Students interested in summer provider programs and international internships will be supported by our office.

For the Orvieto Programs, we hope to offer students the opportunity to participate in the 2021 Summer Excavation Season. We are also exploring ways to facilitate greater student participation in the Orvieto program for the 21/22 academic year. Both of these will be contingent upon the Covid-19 pandemic. For more information about the Orvieto Programs please contact the director, Prof. Linda Rulman or visit www.anselm.edu/orvieto.

During challenging times, strategic planning is essential. To that end, we are evaluating our entire program portfolio to eliminate redundancies, increase access and inclusion, better align with the College’s core mission, provide more robust learning outcomes as well as to include new opportunities for growth and development in global digital competencies. We are excited to bring these opportunities to Saint Anselm students and guide them to their global experiences. Please contact the director, Jane Bjerklie-Barry, with questions.
