Transformative Governance Series II

November 30, 2022 |

This two-part series will cover mastering governance fundamentals, leading change and fresh thinking in the boardroom, and plotting pathways for success with a board advancement plan.

We'll start with a look at key practices and ethical mandates all boards must employ to not only fulfill their obligations but position their nonprofit for success. The discussion will go beyond a review of board roles and responsibilities to include a deep dive into strategies your board can use to achieve high levels of board engagement, successful fundraising, savvy fiscal oversight and smart decision making.

After looking at the building blocks of nonprofit governance, we'll explore strategies to build a strong governing team and excite board members about the future and the positive impact of their legacy. Concrete tactics for how to spark board engagement,  implement effective board recruitment strategies, and build the confidence of every board member to serve as fundraising ambassadors will be discussed. In addition, we'll examine steps to help boards advance and be in a strong position to support the viability of their organization today and be ready for the future.
