Public Debate: Civil Rights and Police Misconduct

January 29, 2018 | Goulet Science Center

The College Debate Team annually holds a public debate on a matter related to civil rights and liberties. This year's topic involves the issue of police misconduct.

The format is rooted in college policy debate. Students will cite sources and present evidence as well as make arguments based on analysis. At the same time, the debate is designed for a lay audience, so that any member of the public can follow the arguments and hopefully will enjoy the debate.
