In an effort to increase access to marginalized voices, the Geisel Library will be hosting an event to transcribe essays written by those who are imprisoned, work in the prison system, or volunteer in the prison system through the American Prison Writings Archive. This Transcribe-a-Thon is one of several events within the One Book One Manchester community read program during the months of October and November. Visit the #1BOOK1MHT website for a complete schedule of events.

PLEASE NOTE: Attendees will choose the text they transcribe, however, many, if not most letters discuss issues that may be unsettling to some, including violence, gang membership, police brutality, mental illness, and past crimes.**
