Amplifying Black Voices: A Read-Out

January 25, 2021

This year as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebratory Program, Geisel Library is hosting a virtual read-out, Amplifying Black Voices. The theme of the 2021 program is “Language of the Unheard.”

The virtual read-out will take place on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We invite all members of the Saint Anselm community who are interested to sign up to read an excerpt of their choice from a text, speech, song, demonstration, interview, etc. from the Civil Rights, Black Lives Matter, or other social justice movement. The read-out aims to amplify voices of those who have been less heard, past and present.

All are welcome to attend and/or read. For more information, including ideas for readings and a link to sign up to read, visit our Martin Luther King Jr. Program page.
