Banned Books Week September 23-29, 2018
September 17, 2018
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating our freedom to read. Geisel Library has partnered with the Academic Resource Center and the SAC Debate Society to host events during Banned Books Week. The purpose of these events is to offer our community the opportunity to voice their concerns, celebrate free express, and demonstrate the importance of intellectual freedom.
Events include a "read-out," shared book reading and discussion, discussion about censorship on discussion, and a debate on banned books in schools. Visit our online guide for complete details about the week, locations and times of events, and lists of banned books.
