Panel on Careers in Library and Information Science
April 11, 2019 | Geisel Library
Do you love learning? Tracking down answers? Organizing things? Working with people, words, numbers, or technology?
Come to Geisel Library’s Panel on Careers in Library and Information Science to learn where your interests can take you, whatever your major.
Library and information professionals don’t just work in schools and public libraries. They also work for companies, hospitals, law firms, museums, and government agencies; with titles like Digital Asset Manager, Medical Librarian, Research Law Librarian, Archivist & Curator of Collections, and Technical Services & Digital Content Manager. The panel will include a guest medical librarian along with several Geisel librarians, who will explain what they do day-to-day, how they got there, and other paths that can be followed with the Master of Library and Information Sciences degree.
