RemARCS: Book Banning in Public Schools

Every Thursday afternoon, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) hosts discussions and activities with topics that interest faculty, staff, and students alike.
In conjunction with Banned Books Week, They will be discussing appropriate boundaries for public school curricula. Attendees will hear some of the oral argument presented to the United States Supreme Court in the case of Island Trees Union Free School District vs. Pico, a 1982 case in which students sued their school district for removing books from their school library. Please join us for what promises to be a lively afternoon.
