Celebrating the Humanities

Ken Burns is an award-winning filmmaker, known for his distinctive documentary style and ability to make history come alive through riveting visual and narrative storytelling.

During the past 40 years, Ken has directed and produced some of the most acclaimed historical documentaries ever made. He has been the recipient of more than 30 honorary degrees and has delivered many treasured commencement addresses.

And, for one special evening, we will welcome this New Hampshire resident to the Hilltop for a conversation about our shared humanity. Ken will discuss the values and beliefs that have shaped his life and work, and how all of us can discover shared meaning and purpose in our lives in a divided and fractious world.
